.NEAR TERM...
(Today and tonight)
Issued at 124 AM CDT Thu Jul 3 2025

Surface high will continue to gradually shift off to the east,
with moisture return across the area in its wake. Weak upper-level
troughing to the west will support additional widely scattered
showers and thunderstorms today and this evening. High
temperatures will once again be moderated by cloud cover today and
are only expected to get up into the mid 80s. Overnight lows will
cool down into the upper 60s to low 70s.

.SHORT TERM...
(Friday through Saturday night)
Issued at 124 AM CDT Thu Jul 3 2025

Additional low rain chances will continue across most of the area
Friday as a weak mid-level trough moves in from the west. There
is a chance for these rain/thunderstorms chances to be more
widespread, but models differ on track/strength of the mid-level
wave. Rain chances will continue into Saturday, but are expected
to be more isolated. High temperatures will stay in the mid 80s
Friday and will warm up to the upper 80s as mid-level ridging
moves in from the west.

.LONG TERM...
(Sunday through Wednesday)
Issued at 124 AM CDT Thu Jul 3 2025

Low rain chances will continue through the weekend and into next
week. The aforementioned mid-level ridge will continue to build
over the weekend and remain in place through the early part of
next week. With slightly increasing heights, afternoon
temperatures will increase to the low 90s for most of the area.
